About the Event
Clark County is scheduled to vote next Tuesday, January 6, 2026 on two important issues:
Propose a new 9-1-1 telephone surcharge on every county resident. This comes while those very same commissioners continue to claim they care about residents economic struggles while at the same time handing billions in public money to billionaires and mega-events like Formula 1, all while insisting these events are supposedly “economic booms” for the community. If these taxpayer-subsidized events are truly as profitable as promoted, then why are residents being asked to pay more just to fund basic services like 9-1-1? Where is all that promised revenue actually going?
Whether to appeal the recent federal court order that protects homeowners against the County’s unconstitutional attacks on property rights.For years, Clark County Commissioners have openly pursued policies designed to protect resort hotels by attacking homeowners’ private property rights.
