Attention Property Owners:
We want to share an important legal update and remind you to renew or purchase your 2025 GLVSTRA Membership to ensure your property is officially recognized and protected.
Yesterday, our legal team filed a formal Reply in Court to the County’s Opposition to our Petition for Preliminary Injunction. This is a critical step in our ongoing federal lawsuit filed in June 2025.
For years, the County has failed to establish a functioning licensing system for Short-Term Rentals (STRs). Even more troubling, they have violated State law by refusing to reopen the licensing process annually—now for three years running. Despite this, the County continues to ramp up enforcement against property owners for operating without licenses that they themselves have made impossible to obtain.
We are asking the Court to pause enforcement, freeze the fines, and protect GLVSTRA members from unjust County actions until the case can be properly reviewed.
Here’s what you need to do:
To be included in our legal protections and have your STR recognized as an official GLVSTRA property, you must hold an active 2025 GLVSTRA Membership at one of the following levels:
🔸Bronze
🔸Silver
🔸Gold
🔸Platinum
If you do not have any of the above membership types, you do not qualify. We will also need the property address of each rental unit you own and want protected under your membership, and your mobile phone number to add you to our private group chat. Only active members at one of the tiers listed above are covered under our federal lawsuit and potential injunction relief.
